Trevor Johnson (MAR '04) and his wife Teresa and their children Noah (5) and Alethea (2) left for Indonesia on Jan. 2  6. They expect to stay 4 ½ years this time before returning again. Pray for them as they plan to: better establish and strengthen their existing network of highland Dani evangelists as they help them move to the unreached lowlands and stay there and saturate the swamps with the gospel; nail down the tribal language; recruit and field teams to reach coastal transmigrants; translate solid books into Indonesian. NEW STUDENT SPOTLIGHT Jamin Hubner is one of our newer M.A. (Religion) degree students. Jamin is a graduate of Dordt College where he earned a B.A. in Theology. Jamin just attended the February MAR Orientation held on the campus of RTS/Charlotte. Jamin has created the apologetics website called, Real Apologetics. As Jamin states, "RealApologetics.org has all of the basic goals of a Christian apologetics organization – to defend the faith in order to prepare souls for conversion, to edify the church, and to “give a defense” (I Peter 3:15). FEBRUARY 2010 ORIENTATION SEMINAR UPDATE The 1st Orientation Seminar of 2010 was held on the campus of RTS/Charlotte from February 22-24, 2010. In addition to the regular activities in the syllabus, 10 M.A. (Religion) students discussed possible thesis topics, participated in individual advisement sessions, and got a better idea of the components of the M.A. (Religion) degree. VIRTUAL CAMPUS ORIENTATION SEMINARS Virtual M.A. (Religion) students are required to complete an Orientation Seminar on an RTS campus near the beginning of their degree work. However, the Orientation Seminar is much more than just a requirement. Orientation is an invaluable opportunity for students to visit the RTS/Charlotte campus, hear lectures from RTS professors, visit top-notch theological libraries, meet with personal advisors from the RTS/Virtual staff, and network with other students.
